I recently added Acts of the Apostasy and Democrazy to my “Comrades” page.
The LarryD at AofA is becoming a favorite of mine. I first found him when he and I were both nominated for “Snarkiest Catholic Blog” at the Cannonball Catholic Blog Awards–where he ended up kicking my butt. I hope I was a worthy adversary. When I read The LarryD’s posts, I punish myself for not being first to spot the humor and irony that he brings to light. I’m pretty sure he’s a genius–but that might just be because he wears glasses.
Christian at Democrazy is a conservative college student (but some conservatives might call him a librul-- ain’t politics fun!). I wasn’t very “mature” when I was his age. So when I found his blog last week, I was pretty impressed.

Seven months ago, this blog was getting about a dozen hits each day–on a good day. I still don’t get much traffic, but I now get a lot more traffic than I though I ever would because a few popular bloggers like Mark Shea and Dave Armstrong mentioned me. TheLarryD and Christian deffinitely don’t need my help to get traffic, but I’d like to do the same sort of favor that Mark and Dave did for me. So, if any of my readers are in the position that I was in–waiting for a “big” day of receiving a dozen hits on your blog, zap me a note! Let us spread the wealth and saturate the Internet with good Catholic blogs (like my wife’s blog, The Uniconoclast).

Thanks for the props, Patrick. And the kind words.
And I’m even more of a genius without eyewear. In fact, my wife says I’m at my smartest when I’m sleeping.
“Let us spread the wealth and saturate the Internet with good Catholic blogs (like my wife’s blog, The Uniconoclast).”…. Patrick, you’re absolutely spot on!
God bless you both!

Well, Sitemeter said I got 40 hits last week. Let’s see…40 divided by 7…but then most of those hits were zeroes as far as time spent….so yes, I’d appreciate a boost! But then if I wrote more often I’m sure that would help!

Almost every single day, at least a one or sometimes more “hits” come directly from your page, Pat. My blog is at least moving at a fairly respectable rate for a “newbe” at least, and hopefully with some information and fun that can be valuable to the Catholic world and the world in general. So I just wanted to say a public “THANKS” and to suggest to anyone reading this to take him up on this offer. Of course it does not hurt that you were able to channel Abraham Lincoln to endorse you…Even Newt has not done that (at least yet). Seriously thanks and folks, go for it!

Patrick, I’m flattered. I hope I can continue to live up to these expectations. Also, my blog just hit 1000 views and in thanks I linked back to you. Lets spread the wealth! Democrazy
Love to hear your take on this author thelesliecrossdomain.com who seems to have an interesting view on the universe. The book series (The Nature of Reality) deals with a new cosmology that includes God in the universe but defines “Universe” as the original word means, everything that exists. Does see God as outside of what he created, so not a naturalist nor a pantheist, so quite an interesting take on things.
He or she (they don’t specify) does believe the christian God and Bible, but rejects God being outside of time, and so on as misunderstandings from the Greeks, claims the Judeo-Christian view ought to be the opposite, God inside the dimensions, that they are not created things.
My head hurts thinking about this, but it seems to make sense.
What do you think about Leslie Cross?
Thanks for your blog, humor is a good thing, Fred
Fred,
I’ve never heard of any of that stuff.
What do I think? I think God CREATED all that is seen and UNSEEN.
I’m glad you enjoy this site! I’ll check out leslie.
