Please picture me as a friendly guy, probably smiling and listening to KJUL as I’m drawing all my crazy pics and writing posts.

I have an edgy style, but I’m pretty sure I carry no malice. I know that everyone is fighting a hard battle–that everybody is at a different point in the journey, and that non-Catholic Christians are, well, CHRISTIANS.  I’m also aware that Jesus was not really into debating the finer points of theology.

I don’t want to be an irresponsible ambassador, I don’t want to be a heretic, and I don’t want to hurt people.  I welcome your criticisms and corrections as I attempt to speak the truth (as best I can determine) in the best way I know how:  through satire and poorly constructed sentences.

Your blog posts have slowed down but obviously you’ve been busy re-vamping your site. Looks great!

Okay so you’re different… God loves you anyways – we can all learn from Him!

I was at the laundry mat today (gotta love those jumbo washing machines) & I picked up a booklet there (one of several laying around) called “Bible Readings – Bible Questions Answered” It’s the SDA’s handbook – you’d have a field day with this. Let me know if you want me to mail it to you. Don’t worry – I’m past the stalking age – not to mention you’re like 30 states away from me!

    Keep ‘em coming!

    Christine

PS – I guess the laundry mat is the place to look for God – there were pamphlets from almost every denomination of Protestantism… Heaven forbid someone would leave a Catholic flyer for one to peruse… but wait! Do those exist?

    Christine,
Kim went to a SDA school; have no interest in digging that ol’ mess up again:)
    Catholic flyer… hmmmm…..

  3. Truthfully Patrick I believe I owe you an apology from some months back after reading the above post. For some reason I either never noticed it or passed it by, and one of my concerns (really the only one) about your site was that it needed such a disclaimer. But it was there all the time. I hope you can forgive me if my words to you have ever seemed harsh or overly critical. I just wanted to let you know how much I support you and often still pray for you. Take care.

  4. Patrick says:

    Richard,
Thanks, but don’t worry about it. I don’t recall you ever saying I need a disclaimer or anything like that. No apology needed.

After perusing your site all day, I think it’d be rude if I didn’t offer my respect and say “kudos” to your site. I’m still old fashioned that way. :) Every day, for months and months now, I’ve quit the internet, probably more despondent over the state of some catholic sites, than anything else. Your site was refreshing. Aside from the thoroughly orthodox catholicism I perceive, In my opinion, it also has a higher relevancy in regard to American culture and politics. (did I say that right?) This is real life right now, and, sadly, a lot of kids still don’t get it. Good for you. God bless you and your sweet wife!

  6. No one,
Very nice of you to write that for me. Thank you, and God bless you as well.
